Air source heat pumps
Air source heat pumps require no digging or drilling. Instead, you retrieve energy directly from the surrounding air using an air handling unit.
The running costs of an air source heat pump is much lower than a conventional electrical heating system as the property owner only pays for running the compressor and the fan, therefore the majority of the energy supplied to the property is renewable and free. Heat pumps have a long life expectancy and maintenance costs are very low.
The heat pump can be located indoors or outdoors depending on which model you choose.
Air source heat pumps (ASHP) are relatively inexpensive and no drilling or groundwork is needed as opposed to ground source heat pumps. There is usually no obligation to report the installation to municipal environmental health boards.
