Grants
WEDNESDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2010: THE LOW CARBON BULDING PROGRAMME (PHASE 2) GRANTS FOR NEW ELECTRICAL MICROGENERATION GRANT APPLICATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED.

In April 2010, the Government will launch its Clean Energy Cash Back scheme (or Feed-In Tariffs) via the energy provider companies who will pay consumers and organisations generous rates for any electricity generated via Solar Photovoltaic Panels or Wind Turbines.

In 2011 it is hoped that a similar scheme will be launched for the generation of hot water via solar thermal panels, heat pumps and biomass boilers. These schemes will dramatically reduce the payback period.

The Clean Energy Cash Back Scheme will have a significant impact on grants as the scheme is expected to take over from many of the domestic grants being offering currently via the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP) scheme.

BritishEco are fully credited to offer grants to householders, the Public sector and charities. Call for details.

Call 0845 257 0041 for details on how to apply for your grant.

LCBP Grant Programme:
1) Domestic Grants: up to £2500 available per household depending on the technology.
2) 50% of the total project costs available for charities, community groups, schools and councils.

Launched on 1 April 2006, BERRs Low Carbon Buildings Programme Phase 1 replaced the previous DTI Clear Skies and Solar PV grant programmes. Open to householders, public, not for profit and commercial organisations across the UK (except the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man), the programme will demonstrate how energy efficiency and microgeneration can work hand in hand to create low carbon buildings. The Grant Scheme for Householders has been extended for applications until June 2010. Phase 2 currently provides 50% grants on renewable energy to public sector and non-profit organisations.
