The Feed-In Tariffs (FITs) rates set by the Government for solar PV installations have been changing both in the domestic and commercial sectors. There is some confusion surrounding the new FIT rates as well as the time frames for you to qualify for the best FIT rates.

The current FIT rate is 21p/kWh but this is changing again on the 1st July and the tariff could potentially be reduced by up to 35% for installations after this date. In addition, there is now a requirement for your home or business to meet a minimum energy performance level which has been set at 'Level D'.

If your property does not achieve at least Level D, your Feed-In Tariff rate will reduce to just 9p/kWh!
